Minivan Spotlighting

On the way home last night from Holy Hour at our chapel, I spied what looked like a pale tree floating through a bean field. What in the world?? As I sped by I distinguished a head attached to the tree in the twilight. Oh no way. I have to show Eli! I stopped the van in the middle of the deserted highway and reversed down the road until I was able to angle the headlights into the bean field.

Why, hello there.

This was only a couple miles south of my Mom and Dad's place...and within yards of a farm place.

This is the second big buck I've been able to shoot...with my camera. The first was in 200 , when this big guy frequented our pasture for a few days, accompanied by three does.

I snapped these shots hanging out our upstairs window with a 7 megapixel Kodak on zoomed as far as is went (3x?)

White-tailing his way out of the pasture

The buck never left our pasture, while three more adventurous does wandered around the our yard.
